What is Hyaluronic Acid?
...and how does it benefit my skin?
Hyaluronic Acid, also called Hyaluronan or abbreviated HA, is a substance that our own skin cells produce naturally. According to experts, an average 70 kg (154 lb) person has roughly 15 grams of hyaluronan in the body, one-third of which is synthesized every day. In terms of beauty benefits for the skin, HA does not create water but rather pulls it from the environment to hydrate the skin’s surface. Its powerful effect comes from its ability to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water molecules, making it useful for skin treatments and hydration. In other words, Hyaluronic Acid attracts and retains water which is what helps to plump and moisturize the skin to diminish and improve expression lines.
What are expression lines?
Expression face wrinkles are exercised through a large number of gestures like laughing, concentrating, eating, speaking, etc. Over time, those wrinkles will look deeper or more pronounced, giving the face a tired or aged expression. How can Hyaluronic Acid help to eliminate expression lines?
To improve and diminish expression lines, it is essential to maintain our skin’s optimum water content or moisture level.
